Start with your own trip
Add a destination and travel dates, then choose a starter template or a blank list. You can edit every item. Example trips are optional and editable.
Common questions
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Trips, checklists, bag calculations, shopping flags, departure tasks and templates work on your device. Online privacy/support links open your browser and need a connection.
What is the difference between purchased and packed?
Buy before the trip adds an item to the linked shopping list. Mark purchased removes that flag; it does not mark the item packed. Check the packing box only when it is in your bag.
How do must-pack items work?
Mark an item Must pack in its editor or item menu. Use the Must pack filter to see important items still left to pack.
Are weather conditions automatic?
No. You choose the conditions you expect and enter notes yourself. Packing Planner does not fetch forecasts or track your location.
How are bag weights calculated?
Each item’s unit weight is multiplied by its quantity. Bag totals compare against your own entered limit, in kilograms or pounds. The weight of the empty bag is not included, and the app does not provide airline allowance information.
How do I keep or restore a backup?
Open Settings → Export a backup and choose a destination. To restore, choose Restore a backup and select a valid Packing Planner JSON file up to 5 MiB. Restoration replaces current data, so export a current copy first. A copy stored in a cloud drive is handled by that provider.
How do I remove my data?
Delete individual entries or choose Clear all saved data in Settings. Uninstalling removes private local storage. Exported files and shared copies must be deleted separately wherever they were saved.
Can I recover a lost list from Vornex?
We do not receive or store your packing lists. Restore a backup you exported earlier. We cannot recover local data after it has been deleted.
